George Smith are British makers of luxury handcrafted upholstered furniture. Collaborating with market leaders in interior design and discerning international clients we deliver timeless, versatile pieces for the world’s most iconic interiors.
The George Smith Standard is a guarantee of outstanding craftsmanship, with no compromise on service or quality.
Since our story first began in 1985, we have curated our own George Smith range of indoor and outdoor upholstery. This collection includes sofas, chairs, chaises and stools, in a variety of classic designs to suit both contemporary and traditional interiors. We also offer all our clients the opportunity to commission unique, bespoke designs.
Our furniture can be found in iconic locations such as Annabel’s in Mayfair, Ian Schrager’s Public Hotel in New York and across the Soho House member’s clubs, as well as in private residences and family homes around the world.
Over the years we have had the privilege of partnering with talented designers to create capsule collections, bringing to life their design aesthetic and ethos in a truly George Smith way. These varied and beautiful collections have added something extra special to our furniture catalogue.
Each piece of George Smith furniture is meticulously handmade by our team of master joiners and upholsterers in the north of England, using responsibly sourced, sustainable, natural materials.
We remain true to our principles of traditional craftsmanship, whilst embracing new and exciting ideas and techniques.
The George Smith family is united by passion, enthusiasm, and a desire to create and deliver beautiful, handmade pieces that you will treasure. Whatever the size of your project, we are all here to guide and support you through your George Smith experience.
Located on the famous Kings Road in London, our flagship showroom and team within awaits your visit into the world of George Smith.
In recent years we have spread our wings and opened further showrooms in the trendy furniture districts of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, all connected by our workshop in the North of England where the magic happens.
