International interior design studio Albion Nord lead the restoration and interior design of Benham Park, which was originally designed by architect Henry Holland in 1775.

With over 100 years of not being celebrated, lived in or loved, Benham Park is proud to be restored back to its former glory to celebrate its rich history of owners, architecture and craftsmanship. After 2 years of careful restoration and refurbishment, they will be opening their doors in Spring 2026 to create the most exclusive venue in the English countryside.

Albion Nord

Albion Nord is a London-based interior design and project management studio founded in 2017.

As part of the design team for Benham Park, Albion Nord employed an historian in order to gain in-depth insights into who lived in the house, "It was important to bring together old and new to create a home that is respectful to the building's history and its functionality in the 21st century." - Ottalie Stride, Creative Director Albion Nord. Portraits of the previous residents and guests were used as inspiration for colour schemes in the bedrooms.

The brief was ‘classic contemporary'. The use of sympathetic, natural materials was important as the designers were keen to reflect Benham’s beautiful countryside surroundings, keeping it comfortable, usable and fresh.

Albion Nord were careful to select items that feel natural in their surroundings. Guests can enjoy the open arms and comfort of bespoke Chesterfield sofas, perch on the expansive ottomans in smooth saddle stitched leather and relax in the upholstery elegance of the formal reception room.

The History Of Benham Park

In the late 18th century, William Craven, 6th Baron Craven, commissioned the grand house seen today, completed in 1775 to designs by Henry Holland, with landscaped grounds by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

The elegant Georgian mansion became home to Lady Elizabeth Craven and later her second husband, Alexander, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach, a former German prince who relinquished his title to settle in England. Benham Park’s neoclassical architecture, sweeping staircase and striking Circular Hall reflect the refined tastes of its original occupants. Following extensive restoration, Benham Park has been sensitively returned to its former grandeur and today provides a distinguished setting for private events, honouring its rich architectural and social history.
