Centred around sustainability, Heckfield Place recently reopened after a long refurbishment which saw the evolution of an 18th Century Georgian Family Home into a glorious and elegant self-sufficient estate.
Slowly formed in the minds, hands and crafts of extraordinary people, Heckfield Place has been expertly brought forward into one narrative by the Chan family.
A country haven with a progressive vision. Each day, produce is picked fresh from the gardens and farm and served in restaurants Marle and Hearth. The interiors were designed by Ben Thompson, protégée of Ilse Crawford, who has created a sanctuary through combining antiques with contemporary furnishings, bringing the Georgian family home into the 21st Century. The designs are cosy and clean, a mixture of manor and farmhouse, resulting in rooms that are intimate and familiar.
