The Creamery at Castle Cary Station has been transformed, blending 1912 heritage with modern craftsmanship.
The talented team at Stonewood Design transformed this building into a contemporary cheese-making facility complete with café, restaurant and shop, reconnecting The Creamery with its original purpose while creating a welcoming destination for visitors.
Today, guests can watch traditional cheesemaking unfold before them, with carefully considered architectural interventions allowing views directly into the production spaces. Original features have been meticulously restored, including the rebuilding of the iconic chimney brick by brick, while new additions seamlessly complement the character of the historic building.

Inspired by vintage railway waiting rooms and early twentieth-century carriage interiors, George Smith was commissioned to create a collection of bespoke cabinetry pieces.
Our handcrafted banquettes and tables create inviting spaces for guests to gather, echoing the proportions and character of traditional station seating.
