Step inside this English inspired farmhouse tucked away in southeast Michigan, designed by the interior design firm Lozano Jolas.
Lauren Lozano Ziol and Michelle Jolas are a force in the design world. Michelle’s graphic sensibility is the perfect compliment to Lauren’s old world aesthetic.
They believe in creating environments with beautiful things to inspire confidence, passion and creativity. Most importantly, they believe that the right combination of colours, textures, prints and patterns has the power to change a mood.
Here is the dream realised by a British couple who, after more than 20 years in the City, decided to reconnect with nature and start a farm in the hills of the Midwest. The interior design involved leaning into British style: wallpapers, rich colours, flowers, natural hues, antiques and special pieces from the clients' travels.
One challenge we faced at the beginning of this project was making sure the scale of the furniture was appropriate for each space. Although this is a large property, it is divided into many smaller rooms to maintain the antique feel.
George Smith helped us to overcome that challenge by allowing us to customise the scale of our main pieces, creating the perfect balance in each space.
The main living room sofa was very much developed in collaboration with their clients, working together to find the ultimate comfort for everyday seating.
