Commune’s collection of handcrafted furniture for George Smith is made up of English classics reimagined for a casual California lifestyle.
Commune played with proportion, customised and simplified frames and legs and introduced natural wood finishes, shearling and washed Belgian linen. The resulting pieces feel at home whether in a John Lautner house in the Hollywood Hills, an urban loft in New York, or a Tudor English estate.
