Step inside this prominent legal establishment situated on 20 Essex Street in Temple, designed by Pernille Lind Studio. As part of a larger rebranding initiative, this ambitious project sought to reflect Twenty Essex’s superior service offered to their clients, via a beautifully designed new location.
Pernille Lind established Pernille Lind Studio in 2018 and has been working in the industry for over 15 years. Influenced by her upbringing and her Thai and Danish heritage, a mix of classic Scandinavian design and Asian decorative elements is a common thread throughout her work.
The studio is dedicated to creating spaces that are inviting and personalised, intrinsically connected to their context and history. Whether working on residential properties, luxury developments, or boutique projects, they deliver thoughtful, contextually rich designs across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US.
Pernille Lind Studio
The brief emphasised the need to create an inviting, comfortable, and functional environment that would entice people back to work post-pandemic. The design for Twenty Essex was driven by a desire to blend modern functionality with timeless British aesthetics, reflecting the quintessentially British area where the chambers are located. Central to the design concept was the use of local suppliers and craftspeople.
The spaces was designed to instil a sense of comfort, akin to a home, with adaptable and thoughtful lighting to meet the specific needs of each area. The design also incorporated bespoke elements throughout, such as bespoke wooden doors and glazed partitions, fitted joinery, uniquely designed tables and banquettes, and specialised furniture for the virtual hearing rooms and conference rooms.
